Max is excited when Chloe, a girl that works for the same gym he does, agrees to go on a date with him. He is disturbed, though, when she becomes violently ill after he kisses her. Max can’t shake how he feels about her. He sacrifices his job and does everything he can to find an answer to her illness. But is it enough to save their relationship – and save her?
Chloe can’t believe Max Thomas, the hottest guy at Roadie’s Gym, wants to go out with her. When their date is a disaster, she thinks she’ll never see him again. She is stunned when he reappears in her life and tries to find the answer behind whatever has made her sick since she was a child. However, will he stick around or abandon her like her father did? Can she trust him enough to let him into her heart?
Review-
Loved how Ms Andersen began Max's dislike for Chloe's work ethics and, he even, claimed his disappointment in her ability to show up for work, despite his secret crush on her. My dislike for Max started...but was soon annulled when Max finds out the truth. But his cynical thinking... every third Wednesday had me chuckling thinking of how unknown answers can cause everyone to think the worse. The way Ms Andersen creates and builds their friendship was superb. I am a huge believer in character connections and Max and Chloe definitely have that.
Max's sympathy for Chloe's condition warmed my heart. No one, especially a woman, likes to have a man tend to her needs the way Max moved in to assist. Plus finding her a job, or was it creating one? Either way, Max was a knight in shining armor.
This was a quick afternoon read and was thoroughly enjoyed. Everyone needs an afternoon of romance and love... and Ms Andersen delivers both with Breaking the Cycle.

Review ~ Kitty's Christmas Hope (Dreams Come True) by Sharon Kleve
Blurb-
Kitty Skinner meets the perfect guy, he's kind, considerate and sexy as hell. She hopes to spend her favorite holiday with him, Christmas Eve. The only problem is, Aaron treats her like his best friend, not the girlfriend she dreams of being. To make matters worse he’s found his perfect girl and wants Kitty to help plan their first date.
Aaron Tyler thinks Kitty is sweet, talented and someone he can settle down with, but believes he has to deceive her into believing he cares for someone else to win her heart.
Nothing goes as planned when one mishap after another prevents them from admitting their true feelings.
Review-
Just say those three words. Those three little words. I. Love. You.? No.
Sweet? Romance? Happily ever after? YES! Those! And in Kitty's Christmas Hope, Ms Kleve filled every gap and hole that I was hoping for.
Poor Kitty is so in love Aaron. But on the other end of the pendulum, Aaron is so smitten with Kitty. Silly lovebirds need to act on it. But it takes sly Aaron to formulate the way into Kitty's heart, as if he needed a way. That girl was so into him she would have done anything for the man she loves. And she did.
A fake date? Help Aaron set up and stage the perfect date with a 'new' girl? Oh, man. How romantic s that? I would have fallen for it too!
Ms Kleve had my mind mesmerized for an afternoon with this new release. Forget the fact this was a holiday read, because I can read the magical moments of any holiday book ANY day of the year. I fall for the love, romance and magic. I highly recommend this book to all lovers of romance.

Better She Die by Judy Baker
Blurb:
In 1858, Clare Rose Coulson of Silver Sage Creek, Texas, is traumatized as a band of Apache Indians murder her husband, her father, and best friend. When kidnapped, she tries to escape only to be captured by another band, but quickly learns this band is Comanche and different. They aren't warriors or savages, but a peaceful, loving people. While living with the band, she learns to respect the Indian ways and settles into a life she never dreamed.
Four years later, Captain Drury Burchett, a Texas Ranger, rescues Clare Rose. Only, the beautiful redheaded woman is angered by her rescue. He's bewildered by the compassion she shows for the Comanches, especially since his hatred for the savages digs deep into his soul for all they've taken from him. What makes this woman so strong in her beliefs and needs to defend the Indians?
Review:
The attraction in the first scene between Clare Rose and Drury had me believing in them. The twinges Clare Rose felt in the pit of her stomach made me remember moments in my life when I had the same feeling. The giddy girlfriends of Clare Rose added immediate depth to the heroine. Sorry that CR's two friends won't have their own stories though. *sigh*
Ms Baker created a wondrous historical romance love story here. The dialogue is precise and well thought out, yet came easily to me as I read.
I have to admit the first part of the blurb had me wanting to settle in and read this book, while the second half had me questioning my decision. But as I turned the pages, I am thrilled to have followed my first instinct. Well written and beautifully crafted story. I look forward to book two.

Review ~ Clay's Quest by Christi Williams
Blurb:
She’ll do anything to get her way. Tall, elegant and beautiful, Emma Thorpe has wanted a baby for years. The yearning for a child occupies all her thoughts, her time, her effort, and any money she and her husband can scrape up for medical intervention. After trying and failing to conceive, the solution that finally comes to her is to leave her husband and hope to find a man—any man—capable of fulfilling her deepest desire. Big, handsome Clay Thorpe isn’t the kind of man to let his wife just wander away. It takes a few months of Emma’s absence from his bed to devise a plan, but he’s determined. Eventually, Clay lures Emma home with a convoluted strategy only he could concoct, involving an antique diamond ring, sex three times a day, and...a turkey baster?
